Met Traders go bowling

On 17th February, the graduate traders were given a break from the markets and treated to a night on the lanes. To be more specific, the bowling lanes at All Star Lanes in Stratford. It was a fun evening filled with food and drink as well as friendly competition.

After a day of over confident chat from some and understated modesty from others the banter was put to oneside and peoples' ability was put to the test. Inevitably a side betting market began on who would get the highest score as well as a variety of other options; odds of 3 or 4 to 1 were being offered on whether people could pick up tricky spares. At one point £10 was changing hands on the outcome of one ball.

The highlight of the evening was a bonus third game where a prize of £200 was on offer for the winner. It was closely fought and came down to the final frame. Even though Josh was hampered by a broken arm he managed to beat Zahrah by a single pin. Ashley also picked up a prize for the highest score of the night.

It was a great evening and a welcome opportunity to get away from the trading screens and relax. Plans for the next night out are already afoot...
